Yeah, that would look sweet. How would you attach it though?
sadly, yes I’m old enough to remember the air bath breathers.. but you knew that.. haha.. anyway, I used one of those on the Nash and I had an extra Nash hubcap so I put on top of it. I think it looks purty good myownself!
your cap fits perfectly! but personally I like the Chicken! haha
I got a oilbath one on mine that i removed the guts and put a breather inside. they can be had for reasonable money.
Yea, I figured you’d like the chicken… hahaha..
i was wondering on how moch torq and horse power are that ingine built with not accuratly but rughly, cause i was thinking in terms of makin an alfa romeo v 6 hot rot of a milano if it works out . just to hwe somthing to compare . love the new style by the way
The V8 hubcap looks very cool!! *****
you should put those stromberg 98’s on it the way it is now
I got an old oil bath from my 56 willys orginall super hurrcain 226. None of the honda kids today would have a clue about that old neat stuff.
I like the hub cap
Also an 56 Olds super 88 or cadillac batwing air cleaner would look cool on there. They whee kinda round with two snouts facing the front
@84400 did thay ever had an oil bath that would take a roll of TP as the filter?
I feel in love with a girl named chelsea and ever time I see the rat rod my heart is like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY that is all
looks nice ! you should do it in my opinion
A freind of mine has a breather that has horse hair in his old chevy truck.
I like it Rich. Go for it.
Wow… Maybe that is what was in them old breathers…. Cool..
Believe me, if I had a couple of good Strombergs they’d be on there. Those two in the video are old Ford carbs.. Not much..
I think the Caddy came with a whopping 210 hp…. The flatheads, which was pretty much the hot setup up till then, had about 110.. It was an astranomical improvement… hahah
Heh. Thats cool. have uploaded some vids of my latest tbucket project. I get ideas from rpeek.
I checked out your t-bucket. It’s awesome! Great build. Congrats!
i think it’s cool. but i think it’d be really cool if that was the top of the air cleaner, like with no lid underneth it. would it be to hard to make that happen? p.s. nice machine
You Are So Genius Grandpa (:
Nope. Not hard at all. I’d just have to close the little holes in the side where the springs sit… I’ve considered it both ways. I’m still lookin’ for a hubcap to experiment with. Don’t want to use on of the two I currently am runnin’ on the car.
that was a really cool idea…..!
My 52 Plymouth had the oil air cleaner you are speaking of, and yes, it does look very much like that. What a fantastic idea to being back some of the history and look of the engines in the day.
Hubcap will look fine..
